Beyond the credits

Bassam Alasad is a producer, cultural curator, and green production consultant based in Amman. He is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and the Documentary Association of Europe (DAE), and a steering committee member of the Global Climate Storytellers Network (GCSN).

He is the Managing Director of Creative Media Solutions and has produced and co-produced projects over the past 20 years across the region. His credits include the feature films Born a King and Champions as Executive Producer, and Sink as co-producer. He is currently producing Jo of Montreal (Jordan, KSA, Germany — in post-production), Finding Oum Al Ghaith, Naydalaan, and And the Desert Remained.

In 2017, he co-founded Greener Screen — the first SWANA non-profit dedicated to sustainability in the media sector. Since 2023, he has been part of the Global Climate Storytellers Network (GCSN) as a steering committee member.

Bassam has led the Amman Film Industry Days since 2021 and now serves as Head of Industry Development, Innovation & Strategic Partnerships at the Amman International Film Festival — Awal Film (AIFF).

He is currently completing a Masters in Arts and Culture Management at Rome Business School (2026–2027).
